President, PM, Services Chiefs extend congratulations to COAS on his elevation to the rank of Field Marshal.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, key federal ministers, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the heads of Pakistan’s armed forces have all extended their congratulations to General Syed Asim Munir on his elevation to the rank of Field Marshal.
In individual messages, both the President and Prime Minister lauded Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his decisive actions against adversaries and for successfully countering their hostile plans.
The President emphasized that the entire nation values Field Marshal Munir’s committed efforts in upholding national security, protecting sovereignty, and fighting terrorism.
He also congratulated Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu on his tenure extension and acknowledged his effective wartime leadership, which played a key role in Pakistan’s forceful response to enemy threats.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Army Chief’s exceptional leadership and strategic competence during Marka-e-Haq, especially in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, which neutralized the enemy’s objectives.
He also expressed appreciation for the unwavering service of the entire military, from top command to the frontline soldiers, who bravely stood against enemy aggression during Marka-e-Haq.
In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister reiterated that Field Marshal Munir’s leadership during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos not only foiled enemy schemes but also brought great prestige to the nation.
He highlighted that under Munir’s leadership, Pakistan’s armed forces defended the country’s sovereignty with unity, bravery, and exceptional military professionalism.
Concluding his message, Prime Minister Sharif paid tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir, the armed forces, and the martyrs and their families, declaring “Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan).
