150 Chemical Engineers from KFUEIT Set to Receive Training in China
The Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT), located in Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, has initiated an agreement for the training of its students in China.
Through an online ceremony, the university launched its training program for 150 chemical engineers. In this collaboration, KFUEIT has partnered with TANG Int’l Education Group, which will offer specialized language and methodology training to the graduates before they embark on their engineering projects in Nigeria.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from KFUEIT, TANG Int’l, North West Normal University, and Nigerian industrial delegates. Previously, KFUEIT and TANG had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the training of 150 chemical engineers in China before deploying them to work on international projects in Africa.
During the event, Vice-Chancellor of KFUEIT, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Seuleman Tahir, emphasized that the university’s chemical engineers are taking their initial steps in the practical field through this collaboration with Chinese partners. He also highlighted the importance of learning the Chinese language and proposed the establishment of a center for teaching Chinese to the students at KFUEIT.
Furthermore, representatives from Nigeria, TANG Int’l, and North West Normal University discussed plans to expand and strengthen the collaboration between KFUEIT and its Chinese and Nigerian counterparts. An official from TANG Int’l stated that the selected students would first receive 3-4 months of training in Pakistan and then undergo 2-3 months of training in China before their deployment in Nigeria.
