President Xi sends congratulatory message to 38th AU Summit highlighting growth of China and Africa relations.
Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to the 38th African Union (AU) Summit on Saturday, extending his warm wishes to African nations and their people.
Xi highlighted that amid the current complex global landscape, the Global South – particularly China and Africa – has seen remarkable growth and influence.
Over the past year, the AU has led African nations in strengthening regional integration, addressing both regional and global challenges, and unifying their stance as the “voice of Africa,” he said.
These efforts have significantly elevated Africa’s international standing, and Xi expressed his sincere wishes for African countries to achieve greater success in their pursuit of independence, self-reliance, and development.
As Xi sends congratulatory message to 38th AU Summit he also made remarks about the strong progress in China-Africa relations throughout 2024.
Following the successful Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, both sides have entered a new phase of fostering an all-weather community with a shared future, reinforcing their commitment to global solidarity.
He reaffirmed China’s commitment to working with African leaders to implement six proposals for modernization and ten partnership initiatives, aiming to deliver tangible benefits to over 2.8 billion people across China and Africa.
