Chinese President Xi Jinping, who also serves as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, bid farewell to General Secretary To Lam of the Communist Party of Vietnam on Tuesday.
Xi remarked that although the visit was brief, it yielded meaningful results. The two leaders reiterated their commitment to advancing socialism, pledged to boost bilateral strategic cooperation, and shared a common approach to tackling external challenges while upholding regional peace, stability, and global justice.
Expressing optimism, Xi stated he is confident in the future of China-Vietnam relations. He urged both nations to implement the outcomes of the visit and further strengthen the development of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
To Lam highlighted the success of Xi’s visit, noting the significant agreements reached which have strengthened strategic cooperation, boosted Vietnam’s ability to handle challenges, and deepened the bond between the peoples of both countries.
He assured that Vietnam will actively follow through on the visit’s outcomes, work to deepen both party and state-level ties, and strive to build a shared, prosperous future with China.
