President Xi Jinping held talks with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Beijing on Friday, strengthening bilateral engagement between China and Spain.

Xi reiterated that tariff wars bring no benefits to any party, underlining the importance of cooperation over confrontation in international trade.
He further urged China and the EU to stand together against unilateralism and coercive practices, promoting fairness and multilateralism on the global stage.
