Chinese President Xi Jinping lands in Hanoi for state visit to Vietnam on Monday.
Upon arriving at Noi Bai International Airport, Xi issued a written message expressing his pleasure at beginning his fourth state visit to Vietnam. He noted that the visit came at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.
Xi conveyed heartfelt greetings and best wishes on behalf of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese government, and the Chinese people to the CPV, as well as to the government and people of Vietnam.
Highlighting that 2024 marks significant milestones—including the CPV’s 95th anniversary, Vietnam’s 80th founding anniversary, and 50 years since the liberation of the South—Xi praised the CPV for guiding the Vietnamese people in steadfastly working toward their long-term development goals.
Xi also remarked that China is glad to witness Vietnam’s rising living standards, increasing global and regional presence, and its steady advancement in socialist industrialization and modernization.
He voiced confidence that under To Lam’s leadership, the CPV will continue on the socialist path tailored to Vietnam’s unique conditions, achieve the objectives set by its 13th National Congress, prepare well for the 14th National Congress, and usher in further progress in national development.
