Furthermore, Xi stated that China has consistently prioritized Cambodia in its foreign policy and is committed to collaborating with Cambodia to establish a high-quality, high-level, and sustainable China-Cambodia community for the future.
Xi urged both sides to deepen exchanges and learn from each other for mutual development. He expressed the CPC’s willingness to enhance strategic communication and collaborate with the CPP, especially in cadre training, while assisting Cambodia in finding a development path suited to its own national context.
The two countries should seize opportunities to advance win-win cooperation, Xi noted, adding that China is ready to enrich the “Diamond Hexagon” cooperation framework and ensure the successful execution of key joint projects.
In light of global instability and challenges, Xi affirmed that China will continue to support Cambodia’s growing role in international and regional affairs and assist in strengthening the Global South’s influence.
Xi expressed China’s support for ASEAN’s strategic autonomy and its opposition to external forces trying to impose Cold War ideologies in the region.
Hun Sen expressed gratitude for China’s invaluable support to Cambodia’s political, economic, and social development over the years. He reaffirmed that China remains Cambodia’s most trusted friend, and this relationship will remain strong, even as leadership transitions in Cambodia.
Hun Sen emphasized that Cambodia is eager to strengthen party-to-party exchanges with China, deepen political trust, enhance cooperation in various sectors, promote youth and cultural exchanges, and coordinate closely on international and regional issues.
