On Thursday, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s rotating Chairperson of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, exchanged congratulatory messages to mark 30 years of diplomatic relations between their nations.
President Xi emphasized that over the past three decades, China and Bosnia and Herzegovina have built a strong bilateral relationship grounded in mutual respect, equality, and cooperation. He noted that the two nations have enhanced political trust and achieved meaningful results in collaboration, offering a model of harmonious and cooperative relations between countries with different sizes, histories, and social systems.
Xi expressed his commitment to advancing China-BiH relations and said he is ready to work closely with Cvijanović to use the 30th anniversary as a springboard to reinforce traditional friendship, expand mutually beneficial collaboration, and elevate their partnership for the benefit of both peoples.
In her message, Cvijanović stated that since the establishment of ties, the two nations have maintained a respectful and strong friendship, yielding productive cooperation across sectors. She expressed Bosnia and Herzegovina’s willingness to deepen its relationship with China in pursuit of shared prosperity.
