Wang, who is also a member of the Communist Party of China’s Political Bureau, reiterated China’s commitment to supporting Lebanon’s independence, dignity, and justice, and emphasized that China stands firmly with its Arab allies, including Lebanon, in all circumstances.
Wang expressed concern over recent explosions in Lebanon and condemned indiscriminate attacks on civilians, particularly the large-scale Israeli airstrikes, which he described as a violation of international principles. He strongly condemned these actions for causing significant casualties.
Bou Habib thanked China for its steadfast friendship and highlighted China’s key role in advocating for justice and protecting the rights of developing nations. He stressed the importance of Lebanon’s sovereignty, especially in light of the recent Israeli attacks that have claimed over 300 lives.
Wang pointed out that violence worsens humanitarian crises and urged the international community to take a stronger stance. He called for regional unity and stressed the need for a “permanent ceasefire,” troop withdrawal, and the “two-state solution” to resolve the conflict.
Wang expressed China’s readiness to work with Arab nations and the international community to promote peace and stability in the region. He also urged Lebanon to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in the country.
Bou Habib assured Wang that Lebanon would prioritize the protection of Chinese nationals and expressed appreciation for China’s commitment to justice and support.
