Molecular Pathology Training program strengthens China-Pakistan medical ties as it offered a range of activities.
The International Molecular Pathology Training Program, organized by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, concluded on December 24 at Anhui Medical University. More than 20 pathologists and biomedical technicians from Pakistan and Mongolia took part in this training.
The program offered a range of lectures and seminars on topics like Introduction to Molecular Pathology, Clinical Applications of Molecular Pathology, and Molecular Immunology. It also included hands-on experimental training, hospital visits, and tours of biotechnology companies.
Yu Yongqiang, Vice President of Anhui Medical University, emphasized that the program aligns with China’s vision of fostering global cooperation for a shared future. He expressed hope that the participants would gain insights into China’s molecular pathology advancements and contribute to international medical and health exchanges.
Anhui Medical University is also involved in several China-Pakistan cooperative initiatives. In 2022, it partnered with Islamabad Medical & Dental College to establish the China-Pakistan Cross-cultural Educational Exchange Center, aimed at strengthening joint education, academic, cultural, and healthcare research collaborations. The university also hosted the China-Pakistan Pathology Study Session in collaboration with Islamabad Medical & Dental College.
