Soldier martyred, 8 terrorists killed in KP IBOs in the North Waziristan district.
During intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one soldier was martyred, and at least eight terrorists were killed, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
The military’s media wing reported that an IBO took place in the Mir Ali region of North Waziristan district. During the operation, Pakistani forces engaged a location where militants were positioned, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists.
The term “Fitna Al Khawarij” is used by the state to refer to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which frequently carries out attacks on Pakistan from Afghan territory.
Another IBO in South Waziristan led to the neutralization of two terrorists by security forces. Tragically, during an intense firefight, Naik Mujahid Khan, a 40-year-old soldier from Kohat, embraced martyrdom after fighting valiantly.
Additionally, security forces clashed with terrorists in Khyber and Bannu districts, killing three more militants. During the operations, weapons, ammunition, and explosives were seized from the terrorists, who had been involved in numerous attacks on security forces and civilians.
The ISPR stated that sanitization operations are ongoing to clear the areas of remaining terrorists. It emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate terrorism, and the sacrifices of brave soldiers like Naik Mujahid Khan only strengthen this resolve.
