Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, TDAP arranges visit to China for sesame seed exporters
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is organizing a trade delegation consisting of 26 sesame seed exporters and growers for a visit to China from August 18th to 24th, 2024. This effort is part of TDAP’s ongoing initiatives to boost Pakistan’s agricultural exports and enhance trade relations with key global markets.
China is a crucial growth market for Pakistani sesame seeds. In the previous year, Pakistan exported sesame seeds worth $283.5 million to China, contributing to a global total of $406 million. With the sesame seed cultivation area in Pakistan expanding to 2.5 million acres and an anticipated production of 0.5 million tons, there is significant potential for increased exports to China.
The delegation will start its visit in Beijing from August 19th to 21st, where the Pakistani Mission in Beijing has arranged several B2B meetings with leading Chinese sesame seed importers. These meetings will offer Pakistani exporters a valuable opportunity to connect directly with potential buyers and explore new business possibilities. Following this, the delegation will proceed to Shanghai on August 21st for further meetings with sesame seed importers in Suzhou and Ningbo, both key hubs for agricultural trade in China.
Moreover, theĀ visit of this delegation to China is expected to create new opportunities for Pakistani sesame seed exporters, enhancing their market presence and contributing to the growth of Pakistan’s agricultural export industry. TDAP remains committed to helping exporters access new markets and maximize the global export potential of Pakistani products.
