Commissioner of Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud showed satisfaction over the security situation of foreign investors at Rashakai Special Economic Zone (RSEZ), a flagship project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Riaz Khan Mehsud on Thursday visited RSEZ for the “security audit of Chinese investors” and held meetings with concerned officials and Chinese investors at the site of RSEZ. “The commissioner showed satisfaction over security measures taken for foreign investors in the zone,” an official of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) told Gwadar Pro.
Mr. Mehsud was briefed by Wasae Samad, Manager SEZ/CPEC KPEZDMC on the overall measures taken to protect foreign investors. The official said that foolproof security has been made for the protection of foreign and local investors at RSEZ.
Earlier on Thursday, Federal Minister for Development Planning and Special Initiative (DP&SI) Asad Umar briefed the parliamentary committee on CPEC on Prime Minister’s recent visit regarding CPEC.
Mr. Umar said that during meetings with Chinese investors, incentive based data was shared with them with a special focus on investment SEZs. According to him, Chinese companies showed interest in investing and relocating their industries in Pakistan.
