Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan stated that hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Pakistan reflects the international community’s confidence in the country as a key partner. He emphasized that the attendance of twenty heads of state is a significant honor for Pakistan, noting that the summit represents a positive development that will benefit the nation’s economic growth.
In a discussion with office-bearers, ticket holders, and workers from District Sheikhupura at the Governor’s House on Monday, he remarked that the SCO summit would pave the way for new development opportunities. He pointed out that Pakistan’s economy is on the rise, with increasing foreign investment. The presence of these leaders in Pakistan indicates an improved global image for the country, and he commended the federal government and relevant institutions for successfully organizing the SCO summit.
The Governor also emphasized that the SCO conference is crucial for Pakistan’s economic progress and will unlock new avenues for development. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party’s planned protest during the summit, calling it detrimental to the country’s interests. Lastly, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan concluded by stating that the Governor’s House is open to representatives of all political parties, assuring that the concerns of party workers will be prioritized and addressed.
