Chinese President Xi Jinping conveyed his condolences to Spanish King Felipe VI on Saturday in response to the devastating rainstorms and floods that have struck Spain.
Xi expressed his astonishment upon hearing about the severe rainstorms and floods affecting numerous regions in Spain, which have resulted in significant loss of life and extensive property damage.
On behalf of the Chinese government and its people, the president extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and offered sincere sympathy to the families who have lost loved ones, as well as to those injured.
He also expressed confidence that, under the guidance of King Felipe VI and the Spanish government, the affected communities would overcome the disaster and work towards rebuilding their homes promptly.
