PM Shehbaz Sharif launches Uraan Pakistan for economic growth on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday introduced the five-year National Economic Transformation Plan, “Uraan Pakistan,” which aims to achieve sustainable, export-driven economic growth. The plan focuses on the 5Es: exports, e-Pakistan, environment, energy, equity, and empowerment.
Speaking at the launch of the homegrown economic strategy for 2024-2029, the prime minister emphasized that with macroeconomic stability achieved, the government’s priority would shift to promoting growth through strategic investments and reforms.
The prime minister stressed that the plan’s success, which prioritizes development in IT, agriculture, exports, and the mining and minerals sectors, depends on national unity, political harmony, and the collective efforts of all stakeholders, including political parties, institutions, and citizens.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, federal ministers, the governors of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, provincial ministers, diplomats, business leaders, and experts.
