PM condemns cowardly Surab terrorist attack and paid tribute to the ADC who martyred while defending innocent lives.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack in Surab, Balochistan, which targeted a bank, civilians, and government officials.
In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, he paid tribute to Additional Deputy Commissioner Hidayatullah Baloch, who was martyred while bravely defending his area from the attackers.
The Prime Minister expressed deep sympathy with the martyr’s family and prayed for their strength and perseverance during this difficult time.
He condemned the attackers for deliberately targeting unarmed civilians, including women and children, and said the incident revealed the anti-people mentality of those who resist peace and progress in Balochistan.
Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until such elements are completely wiped out. He praised ADC Baloch’s sacrifice as a powerful symbol of courage and heroism.
He emphasized that the whole nation stands united with the family of Shaheed Hidayatullah Baloch in this moment of grief.
The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan’s armed forces are tirelessly countering proxy networks engaged in terrorism, which he said are being supported by India.
He assured the public that the nation stands firmly with its armed forces in the mission to eliminate terrorism and its enablers.
Shehbaz Sharif instructed relevant authorities to swiftly identify and punish those behind the attack.
Earlier, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also condemned the incident, commending the fallen ADC’s bravery and dedication to the nation. He noted that despite his administrative role, Buledi fought fearlessly against terrorists believed to be backed by India.
According to reports, dozens of BLA militants launched a coordinated attack in Surab, setting fire to several government buildings and a police station, while also setting up blockades on the Quetta-Karachi highway.
Security forces remain actively engaged in crushing the terrorist networks.
