Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi met with USA Cricket CEO Jonathan Atkeison in Washington to explore potential cricket collaborations. Key topics included organizing bilateral series for both men’s and women’s teams, as well as a proposed tri-series featuring Pakistan, the USA, and Canada.
Both boards agreed in principle to schedule bilateral series between their national teams, with further discussions planned to finalize the logistics. Additionally, they discussed reciprocal tours for women’s teams to enhance international exposure and foster stronger cricketing ties.
PCB’s Support for Cricket Development in the USA
Naqvi reaffirmed PCB’s commitment to promoting cricket in the United States by offering training programs for American coaches in Pakistan. He emphasized PCB’s dedication to strengthening cricketing relations and invited Atkeison to visit Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy to experience the tournament firsthand.
Moreover, Jonathan Atkeison expressed gratitude for Naqvi’s invitation and acknowledged PCB’s willingness to support cricket development in the USA. PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer, who also attended the meeting, highlighted the role of international collaborations in advancing the sport.
