The BOI, alongside Pakistan’s Embassy and Consulates in China, is actively organizing a series of B2B Roadshows to connect Pakistani and Chinese firms for partnerships and investments, as directed by Pakistan’s Prime Minister. The first Roadshow, dedicated to fisheries, was held in Qingdao on October 29, 2024. Following this success, the next Roadshow, focused on leather and footwear, is set to take place on November 5, 2024, in Guangzhou.
Moreover, on October 31, Secretary Qureshi was warmly received by the Canton Fair organizers and was given a briefing on the fair’s global significance and history. He visited the Pakistan Pavilion, discussing opportunities for investment and joint ventures in key sectors such as textiles and encouraged top textile exporters to join the upcoming Roadshow for collaboration with Chinese businesses.
During his tour, Qureshi stopped by each Pakistani booth, speaking with exhibitors to gather feedback on their experience at the fair and assess the event’s impact on Pakistan’s economic outreach.
