Pakistan’s Ambassador awards Chinese for advancing relations at a ceremony that took place at the Embassy of Pakistan.
At a ceremony symbolizing the strong and enduring relationship between Pakistan and China, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, awarded two notable Chinese figures with prestigious civil honors in recognition of their outstanding service to bilateral ties. The event took place at the Embassy of Pakistan on April 22.
Representing the President of Pakistan, Ambassador Hashmi presented the “Hilal-i-Quaid-i-Azam” award to Fu Zhiheng, President of China Great Wall Industry Corporation, and the “Tamgha-i-Imtiaz” to Zhang Baozhong, Director of the China Peace and Development Fund.
In his speech, Ambassador Hashmi highlighted the significance of the recipients’ contributions, noting that their efforts were part of a broader, ongoing narrative of cooperation. Fu Zhiheng was commended for his instrumental support in advancing Pakistan’s space technology, particularly in the launch of its remote sensing satellites that aid in agriculture and disaster management. He also played a crucial role in the creation of the Pakistan Space Center, marking a key achievement in the country’s tech landscape.
Zhang Baozhong was honored for his visionary leadership at China Overseas Ports Holding Company, where he was a driving force behind the development of Gwadar. His efforts not only fueled regional connectivity and economic progress but also deepened Pakistan-China relations. His continued engagement beyond official duties has made a lasting contribution to bilateral cooperation.
