Pakistani PM condemns attack on Chinese convoy in Karachi and extended hearfelt condolences to the Chinese people.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his profound shock and sorrow on Monday regarding the attack on a convoy of Chinese nationals in Karachi on Sunday night, which led to the deaths of two Chinese citizens and left one other injured.

In an official statement, the prime minister condemned the “heinous act” and extended his “heartfelt condolences” to the people of China, particularly to the families of the victims.

“I am deeply shocked and saddened by last night’s tragic incident in Karachi, resulting in the loss of two precious Chinese lives and injuring another,” stated the prime minister, who also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.

Sharif also assured that an immediate investigation is underway to identify those responsible for the attack and bring them to justice.

Additionally, The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to protecting Chinese nationals within the country, vowing to take every necessary measure to ensure their safety.

“Pakistan is committed to safeguarding our Chinese friends. We will spare no effort to ensure their security and well-being,” he added.

Earlier on Monday, the Chinese embassy in Pakistan reported that the attack occurred around 11:00 p.m. local time on Sunday (1800 GMT) when terrorists targeted a convoy from the Port Qasim Electric Power Company near Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
