Pakistan to establish model SEZs with China’s cooperation as instructed by the Planning Minister, Ahsan Iqbal to relevant officials in a meeting.

Ahsan Iqbal, the Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, has instructed relevant officials to identify appropriate locations for establishing Model Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and to prepare a detailed concept paper for this initiative.

During a meeting focused on Model-SEZs and the policy for relocating Chinese industries to Pakistan, the Minister emphasized the importance of improving government-to-government cooperation with China.

Iqbal stated that Pakistan would allocate land for the Chinese industries, while the industries themselves would handle the infrastructure development and marketing of the zones
