Pakistan sends 14th Relief Consignment to Palestine reaffirming Pakistan’s consistent support towards people of Gaza amidst Israeli hostilities.
Pakistan’s 14th relief consignment for Palestinians arrived at Egypt’s El Arish International Airport on Sunday, with Islamabad reaffirming its commitment to aiding the people of Gaza amid the ongoing Israeli military offensive.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) collaborated with Al-Khidmat Foundation to send the shipment, marking the 25th overall relief consignment dispatched to those affected by the conflict in the Middle East.
A special aircraft departed from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, carrying 90 tons of aid, including bell and winterized tents and tarpaulin sheets, which landed in Egypt on Sunday.
According to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), officials from Pakistan’s embassy in Cairo received the supplies and handed them over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for delivery to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society inside Gaza. More aid shipments from Pakistan are expected to follow soon.
Since the outbreak of hostilities in October 2023, Israeli military actions in Gaza have resulted in over 48,000 deaths, thousands of injuries, and the displacement of nearly the entire 2 million population of the region.
Pakistan has so far sent a total of 1,478 tons of aid exclusively for Palestine, underscoring its unwavering support for the people of Gaza. In total, the country has dispatched 1,961 tons of humanitarian assistance, including 372 tons for Lebanon and 111 tons for Syria.
