Pakistan strongly rejected the recent irresponsible comments made by the Indian External Affairs Minister during his media appearances in Brussels, advising him to avoid spreading false narratives to justify India’s aggressive behavior.
In a statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson emphasized that senior diplomats should promote peace and understanding, rather than resort to aggressive rhetoric. A foreign minister’s language, they added, should reflect the dignity of his position.
The spokesperson accused India of running a sustained misinformation campaign for years, portraying itself as a victim while concealing its role in sponsoring cross-border terrorism and suppressing the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Rather than blaming others, India should reflect on its own actions, including involvement in terrorism and targeted killings.
They further stated that India must stop fabricating stories to defend its recent hostile activities. The Indian leadership’s rhetoric reflects frustration after a failed military provocation against Pakistan, and they would do better to focus on constructive discourse instead of their fixation on Pakistan. True leadership, the spokesperson said, is defined by wisdom, not volume.
Reaffirming its commitment to peace and diplomacy, Pakistan underscored its readiness and determination to defend its sovereignty, as shown by its strong response to India’s reckless military actions last month.
