At least one person was killed on Wednesday night after the Pakistan Army shot down an Indian drone, as tensions between the two countries escalate in the wake of India’s recent unprovoked airstrikes.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan armed forces successfully neutralized 25 Israeli-made Harop drones launched by India, using both technical and weaponized defense capabilities.
The ISPR added that following India’s May 6–7 attack—which destroyed five advanced aircraft, targeted multiple military positions, and caused casualties—India, now alarmed and desperate, has resorted to using Israeli-origin Harop drones to attack Pakistan.
Earlier, Director General ISPR, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, stated in a press conference that India once again committed an open act of military aggression by deploying Herop drones across several locations inside Pakistan.
