Pakistan Embassy in Beijing observes Kashmir Solidarity Day and reiterated Pakistan’s stance towards resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
The gathering reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm political, diplomatic, and moral backing for resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute per United Nations Security Council resolutions.
During the event, official messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister were read out.
These messages strongly denounced human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, and urged the UN to ensure the implementation of its resolutions on Jammu & Kashmir.
The statements also drew attention to India’s unlawful and unilateral moves on August 5, 2019, which led to a series of actions aimed at altering the region’s demographic structure.
Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, emphasized that resolving the Jammu & Kashmir issue is essential for lasting peace and stability in South Asia. He called on the global community to take meaningful steps toward a fair, peaceful, and enduring solution.
A documentary on IIOJK was screened during the event, followed by a photo exhibition showcasing the hardships and human rights violations faced by Kashmiris under Indian occupation.
Moreover, the visual presentation paid tribute to the unwavering resilience, courage, and struggle of the Kashmiri people in their quest for self-determination.
