Pakistan on Tuesday conveyed its deepest condolences over the tragic loss of lives resulting from the earthquake in China’s Xizang Autonomous Region.
In a statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson expressed solidarity with the people and government of China, offering support for their ongoing relief efforts.
“Our thoughts are with the injured and those still unaccounted for. We also extend our best wishes for the success of the ongoing rescue operations,” the statement added.
As reported by China’s Xinhua news agency, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck a county in Xizang on Tuesday morning, leaving 53 people dead and 62 others injured.
