Hammad Khalid, a business consultant, revealed the collaboration between Pakistan’s Super Asia Motors Pvt Ltd and China’s EGO New Green Energy Technology Limited. Together, they are introducing an innovative electric motorcycle with swappable batteries, catering to both commercial and domestic users.
The partnership also aims to expand this swappable battery technology to the 3-wheeler commercial market.
Swappable Batteries
Hammad highlighted that the swappable battery system allows users to replace a depleted battery with a fully charged one in just 10 seconds, ensuring continuous travel and extended range. This system also enables users to charge the battery indoors. For longer trips, riders can carry an extra battery to swap at home or work.
The newly introduced motorcycle boasts key features such as a top speed of 90 km/h, a range of 200 km with two batteries, and swappable solar-powered batteries available at petrol stations. It also offers up to 70% savings per kilometer, providing a strong, reliable, and eco-friendly mode of transportation.
Hammad emphasized that this project brings cutting-edge technology to Pakistan, focusing on local component and part development. It also highlights their commitment to clean energy and job creation in Pakistan.
In recent years, Pakistan and China have worked together to promote electric motorcycles in Pakistan, with the goal of encouraging eco-friendly transportation and reducing carbon emissions. Various Chinese companies, in collaboration with local Pakistani firms, are expanding the electric vehicle industry in Pakistan. The introduction of these electric motorcycles is expected to lower travel costs for consumers and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.
