A prominent delegation from Pakistan’s chemicals and dyes industry engaged in significant talks with leading Chinese industrial figures during the InterDye 2025 exhibition in Shanghai, with the goal of enhancing bilateral trade and industrial cooperation.
As stated in a press release on Friday, the delegation was headed by Salim Valimuhammad, who serves as the Chairman of the Pakistan Chemicals & Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA).
During the event, the delegation held meetings with Shi Xianping, Chairman of the China Dyestuff Industry Association (CDIA), and Weina Wang from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), focusing on avenues for stronger partnership.
The discussions emphasized broadening trade ties under the existing Pakistan-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA), particularly through the inclusion of additional dye-related products under HS Code 3204.1600, which are crucial for Pakistan’s export-driven industries.
