General Li Qiaoming, Commander of China’s People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces, met with Pakistan’s Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, the Defence Minister highlighted that the decades-long relationship between Pakistan and China is centered on the welfare of the people in both nations.
He expressed Pakistan’s deep appreciation for China’s diplomatic and material support in the fight against terrorism at both regional and international levels.
The Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining stability and peace in the region.
In his remarks, General Li praised Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and stability, as well as the significant role of the Pakistan Armed Forces in combating terrorism.
Both parties recognized the strong ties between their Armed Forces and pledged to further enhance defense cooperation.
