Afghan Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani held a meeting in Kabul with China’s special envoy Yue Xiaoyong and Pakistan’s special envoy Muhammad Sadiq, accompanied by their respective delegations.
The purpose of the meeting was to build on the outcomes of the fifth trilateral foreign ministers’ dialogue among Afghanistan, China, and Pakistan, plan for the sixth session, evaluate the fifth meeting involving Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, and promote wider political and economic collaboration.
Haqqani highlighted the significance of enhancing regional cooperation, asserting that the Islamic Emirate believes mutual respect and productive dialogue are key to advancing political and economic ties and fostering regional harmony.
The Chinese and Pakistani envoys reiterated their dedication to promoting friendly relations and collaborative efforts with Afghanistan, grounded in mutual understanding and cooperation.
It was mutually agreed that the sixth trilateral foreign ministers’ meeting will take place in Kabul, maintaining the continuity of the dialogue framework.
