Welcoming Belarus’ involvement in the SCO meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Belarus on becoming a full member of the SCO and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Belarus under the “Shanghai Spirit.”
Shehbaz Sharif referred to his constructive meeting with President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Astana earlier in July, highlighting how regular high-level exchanges had positively influenced the friendly relations between the two nations. He emphasized the need to tap into the full potential of bilateral cooperation, especially in areas such as trade, investment, agricultural machinery, joint tractor production, and connectivity.
Roman Golovchenko expressed his warm congratulations to Pakistan for successfully hosting the SCO meeting and praised its outcomes. He also thanked Pakistan for the hospitality extended to him and his delegation.
Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko assured that Belarus would actively collaborate with Pakistan in its role as the Chair of the SCO Council of Heads of Government to advance the organization’s objectives, principles, and priorities.
Furthermore, the Belarusian Prime Minister voiced his satisfaction with the positive trajectory of the bilateral relationship and echoed Pakistan’s interest in enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas of shared concern through collective efforts.
