Pakistan and Australia are committed to further enhancing their bilateral trade and economic relations, as a delegation from the Pakistan-Australia Business Council (PABC) met with Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan.
The minister pointed out the consistent growth in Pakistan’s exports to Australia and the increasing remittance flows from the Pakistani community there.
During the meeting, Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the positive goodwill shared between the two nations and stressed the need for more high-level engagements to strengthen bilateral ties.
He acknowledged the vital contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in Australia to both the economy and society, as stated in the press release.
The minister also recognized the PABC’s efforts to promote business connections and facilitate trade and investment between the two countries.
While trade between Pakistan and Australia is on the rise, the minister highlighted that there is still significant untapped potential, especially in the sectors of trade, investment, and education.
He also noted the positive impact of Australia’s higher education institutions on many Pakistani students and expressed optimism for further collaboration in these key areas.
Finally, he reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fostering closer ties with Australia, mentioning cricket as a common passion that continues to bring the two nations together.
