GWADAR, Feb. 18 – As the joint efforts between the two brotherly countries have started bearing fruits, the Pak-China Technical & Vocational Institute (PCT&VI) in Gwadar on announced admission in various diploma courses on Friday.
PCT&VI has been recently operationalized by the University of Gwadar (UG) and Shandong Institute of Commerce & Technology (SIC&T), China.
As per the announcement, the institute has announced 12-month diploma programs in Maritime and Port Management, Hotel Management & Hospitality, Information Technology, Financial Literacy, and E-Commerce. Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) and UG would provide fully funded merit-based and need-based scholarships to deserving students.
Students with at least 45% marks in matric or equivalent are eligible for all diploma programs. They will have facilities including internationally qualified faculties, hostels (for males and females), transport, library, internet and study tours, and exposure visits. The last date to apply is March 24 with admission tests to be conducted on March 27 while classes will be started on April 3.
The state-of-the-art PCTVI has been built with the Chinese Government’s grant under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the port city of Gwadar. The people of Gwadar are the main stakeholder of Gwadar. Their participation in the operation and management of the deep-sea port, participation in industrial and commercial businesses, and in urbanization processes is key to all long-term developmental initiatives. PCT&VI is designed to shape and enhance the skills of the active population of Gwadar to participate in the growth of the port city.
