Pak-China friendship paves way for progress, Governor Sindh stated during an Iftar Dinner at the Governor House.
Governor Sindh, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, highlighted that China’s collaboration would contribute to stabilizing Pakistan’s economy. He stressed the importance of national unity in safeguarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and combating terrorism.
“One nation, one voice—unity is essential for the country’s progress and stability,” he stated.
Speaking at the 16th Ittihad Ramazan Iftar Dinner at Governor House, he addressed thousands of attendees, including Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong, members of the Sports Journalists Association Sindh, and the Pakistan Sports Writers Association.
The event commenced with a Quranic recitation by Abdullah from China, followed by an inspiring Naat presented by visually impaired religious scholar Maulana Maaz. In recognition of his performance, Governor Tessori announced an Umrah package for him.
Governor Tessori urged the global community to unite against terrorism, emphasizing the need for collective action against terrorist threats anywhere in the world. “The world must demonstrate that terrorism in any country will face a unified response,” he asserted.
Discussing economic empowerment, he noted that IT students trained at Governor House are now earning significant monthly incomes, showcasing efforts to uplift the youth.
During the event, he invited children dressed in military uniforms onto the stage and distributed cash gifts, declaring, “These young soldiers symbolize our nation’s strength in safeguarding borders and fighting terrorism.”
Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong reaffirmed China’s steadfast commitment to Pakistan’s development, assuring that bilateral cooperation would continue to grow.
Religious scholar Mufti Nauman Naeem praised Governor Tessori’s leadership, drawing comparisons to Caliph Umar (RA) and expressing hopes of seeing him as Pakistan’s future Prime Minister.
The event also included a lucky draw, where attendees won prizes. Muhammad Akram from Rahim Yar Khan and Manzar Shah from Jhang secured 120-square-yard plots, while Hakim Shah won a motorcycle, and Muhammad Sabir received a mobile phone.
