NLC launches China-Dubai trade route via Pakistan marking a significant step in transportation and regional connectivity under CPEC.
The National Logistics Cell (NLC) has officially initiated the delivery of trade goods from China to Dubai via Pakistan under the International Road Transport (TIR) system.
This milestone represents a major achievement within the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework, offering a shorter and more efficient route for transporting goods from China to Gulf countries.
The project also paves the way for year-round operations at the Khunjerab Pass, ensuring consistent trade flow.
A truck carrying electronic equipment departed from Kashgar, China, and is destined for Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, passing through Pakistan.
The journey included a stop at the NLC Dry Port in Sost, where a ceremony was held to commemorate the historic occasion.
The event was attended by senior officials from the Gilgit-Baltistan government, customs authorities, and members of the local business community.
The NLC trucks will transport goods from Kashgar to Karachi in just eight days.
From Karachi, the container will be shipped to Jebel Ali Port by sea, a process that will take an additional two days.
While sea transport from Kashgar to Dubai usually requires 30 days, this road route reduces the delivery time to just 10 days.
This new China-UAE route through Pakistan provides significant advantages for businesses, including faster and more efficient logistics.
The TIR service enables quicker and more cost-effective delivery of goods to Gulf countries, benefiting exporters and importers.
This development reinforces Pakistan’s emerging role as a vital logistics hub connecting Asia to global markets.
