New center launched to boost China-Pak agriculture cooperation that aligns with the broader vision of Belt and Road aiming global integration and connectivity.
The Overseas Luban Workshop Agricultural Machinery Service Center in Pakistan was inaugurated on October 26 at Changsha’s International Conference Center in Hunan, aiming to strengthen Pakistan’s agricultural capacity and foster closer China-Pakistan cooperation in agricultural mechanization.
The launch ceremony highlighted the collaboration among the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College, Tianjin Tailai Import and Export Co., Ltd., Tianjin Agricultural Mechanization Technology Testing Service Center, and Wugu Media.
Asif Shah, Honorary Consultant of the Pakistan Luban Workshop and Executive Board Member of the Punjab Agricultural Research Board, praised the Workshop’s success in training over a thousand skilled operators and technicians in Punjab, Pakistan. “The project enabled the sharing of Chinese technologies and equipment to boost agricultural mechanization, which has received high praise from educators, students, engineers, and machinery users,” he noted.
According to CAMDA, the Luban Workshop aligns with the Belt and Road Initiative’s vision, aiming at the global integration of production and education. Furthermore, Hu Wei, President of CAMDA’s Media Branch, expressed optimism that the Overseas Service Center would continue supporting a social service system for Chinese agricultural machinery in global markets.
Moreover, the Luban Workshop Agricultural Machinery Training Program at Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College has close ties to China’s agricultural machinery industry, training skilled international technicians on machinery application technologies. Consequently, this initiative is set to create an international platform for production, education, and research in agricultural machinery along the Belt and Road.
