New air route from Shenyang to Dubai kicks off boosting China’s ties with UAE.
A new air route linking Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province in northeast China, with Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), officially commenced operations on Saturday, as announced by China Southern Airlines.
The route utilizes Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with flights departing Shenyang Taoxian International Airport every Saturday at 8:10 a.m. Beijing Time and reaching Dubai at 7:20 p.m. local time.
Return flights leave Dubai at 9:20 p.m. local time on Saturdays and arrive in Shenyang at 1:45 p.m. Beijing Time on Sundays, as confirmed by the Northern Branch of China Southern Airlines.
Both the outbound and return flights include a stopover in Guangzhou, located in Guangdong Province, southern China.
Wang Xiaohui, deputy general manager of the Northern Branch, noted that 80 percent of tickets for the inaugural flight were purchased by passengers traveling for purposes such as business, education, work, family visits, and tourism.
This year celebrates the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE, with both nations implementing visa-free policies for their citizens.
Liaoning Province has established partnerships with the Middle East in various sectors, including commodity trade, energy resources like oil and gas, and scientific and technological collaborations.
