Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with his Chinese counterpart, Qi Yanjun, during his visit to China, where both sides agreed to enhance intelligence sharing. Discussions also focused on strengthening border security between the two nations. Additionally, they explored the use of modern technology for police and paramilitary forces to improve security operations. Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan will procure advanced policing equipment and technology from China.
The meeting also covered cooperation with the National Police Academy, with an agreement to enhance collaboration between Beijing Police and Islamabad Police. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the Joint Working Group meeting held in January, highlighting its positive outcomes.
The discussion lasted two hours, during which Naqvi formally invited his Chinese counterpart to visit Pakistan, further strengthening bilateral relations in security and law enforcement.
