He highlighted that the two leaders have met twice this year, outlining a new strategic vision and providing significant impetus to deepen bilateral relations, especially marking the 75th anniversary of China-Russia diplomatic ties.
Li emphasized that the ongoing growth of China-Russia relations benefits not only the two nations and their peoples but also supports regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity. Li noted the profound changes in the global scientific, technological, and industrial landscape, presenting substantial development opportunities. China is prepared to leverage innovation in these fields to enhance bilateral cooperation with Russia and identify new economic growth areas.
He also stressed the importance of expanding cultural, tourism, education, youth, and regional exchanges to foster mutual understanding and perpetuate the China-Russia friendship across generations.
In the context of significant global changes, China is ready to work with Russia to strengthen multilateral coordination, build mutual trust with developing countries, advocate for a multipolar world, and advance economic globalization while protecting legitimate rights and international norms.
Putin responded by requesting Li to extend his warm regards to President Xi. He noted that this year, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and China, is a notable period in their bilateral history.
Putin also highlighted that the recent meeting between Russian and Chinese heads of government, which included comprehensive discussions on economic, trade, and cultural cooperation and the signing of several agreements, reflects the successful implementation of the consensus reached with President Xi and has produced substantial outcomes.
Russia is eager to further enhance its cooperative relationship with China, increase cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and strengthen coordination within BRICS and other multilateral frameworks to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and China in the new era, Putin added.
