The fifth China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), set to take place from April 13 to 18 in Haikou, Hainan Province, will feature advanced humanoid robots from top domestic and global companies, organizers announced on Thursday.
Serving as a vital platform for global trade and consumer trends, the expo has attracted participation from over 4,100 brands representing 71 countries and regions, Vice Commerce Minister Sheng Qiuping stated during a press conference.
Jointly hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Hainan provincial government, this year’s event will emphasize emerging consumer trends, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and low-altitude aviation. Global companies will unveil their latest innovations, Sheng noted.
A specialized consumption technology zone will be introduced to highlight cutting-edge advancements, with humanoid robots expected to be a major attraction.
Leading tech firms such as Huawei, Tesla, Unitree, and Rokid will showcase their newest AI-powered consumer products, including humanoid robots and augmented reality (AR) glasses.
As China’s sole national-level exhibition focused on consumer goods, CICPE also stands as the largest consumer expo in the Asia-Pacific region.
