Huawei launches ‘Train The Trainer’ program for students under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Huawei has taken a major step in advancing Pakistan’s digital journey by launching the “Train The Trainer” initiative, which aims to train 300,000 students across the country.
This extensive training program, developed by Huawei, is a key part of Pakistan’s efforts to enhance ICT education and skills nationwide as part of its broader digital transformation.
The Train The Trainer (TTT) certificate distribution ceremony in Islamabad marked the collaborative effort between Huawei and various ICT academies in Pakistan. The program addresses the growing need for advanced ICT skills by training educators who will then pass on their knowledge to students, effectively multiplying the impact of the training.
By focusing on equipping trainers with up-to-date knowledge in ICT technologies, the program ensures a high standard of education for the next generation of IT professionals. This initiative aligns with the government’s goal of improving ICT education and bridging the gap between academic learning and industry demands, preparing students for the digital future.
Huawei’s involvement in this initiative underscores its commitment to Pakistan’s digital progress. By leveraging its expertise and resources, Huawei plays a pivotal role in developing a skilled workforce that will contribute to both national and international sectors, showcasing its leadership in Pakistan’s digital transformation.
During the ceremony, Ahmed Bilal Masood, Deputy CEO and Director Subsidiary Board of Huawei Pakistan, emphasized the importance of the collaborative effort behind the TTT and Seeds for the Future (SFTF) programs in contributing to Pakistan’s economic growth. He highlighted the need for a trained workforce to support the country’s digital transformation, both domestically and globally.
Government’s Dynamic Planning
IT and Telecom Secretary Aisha Humera Chaudhary also highlighted the government’s support for the initiative, noting that the Ministry of Information Technology will assist Huawei in providing students for the training and will oversee the program’s quality. She further emphasized the program’s potential to contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth and Huawei’s role in helping the country become a global leader.
The TTT program is expected to have a significant impact by creating a large, skilled workforce ready to contribute to various sectors. The establishment of an HR database will help connect these skilled professionals with job opportunities, improving employment rates and driving economic growth in Pakistan.
