Two SUVs made by Chinese auto maker Great Wall Motor (GWM) made debut here in October 1, offering another choice for Pakistanis.

The 3rd Generation HAVAL H6 and HAVAL JOLION feature intelligent configuration, comfortable interiors and eye-catching appearance.

“These features can meet the increasing demand of consumers. The two will enable consumers to enjoy the brand-new driving experience,” said Mr. Sun Guang, Deputy General Manager of GWM International.

The launching ceremony held at the Centaurus Mall attracted many consumers. Some of them took a photo in front of the vehicle they like.

Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (Sazgar), the local distributor of GWM, delivers some vehicles on the spot.

Sazgar is going to hold a series of launching activities in Lahore and Karachi in the second and third weeks of October, to let more consumers experience the new vehicles.

In addition to complete vehicles, GWM is also going to build assembly lines in Lahore, by integrating local superior resources and Pakistan’s favor automobile development policy.

Now the preparation is in full swing and is expected to put into operation soon, according to GWM.

“GWM is committed to introducing industry-leading production technology and management experience into Pakistan, creating job opportunities to locals and contributing to the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,” said Sun.

In 2008, a total of 15 police pickup made by GWM were donated to Pakistan by Luo Zhaohui, then Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, on behalf of Chinese government.

GWM pickup become a seal on China-Pakistan friendship.

The reason why GWM pickup was chosen is that its performance is the best suited to conditions of Pakistan.

Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd, is China’s largest SUV and pickup manufacturer.  GWM has been paying great attention to technological innovation. GWM announces its 2025 Strategic Goals in 2021.

In the next five years, GWM’s total R&D investment will be up to CNY 100 billion ($15.5 billion) to ensure its technological predominance in creating greener, smarter and safer products for global users.

Additionally, GWM will enlarge its pool of global R&D talents. By 2023, its global R&D personnel will exceed 30,000 including 10,000 software development talents.

GWM has 500 networks in over 60 countries, selling a total of 800,000 vehicles overseas.

Currently, GWM has extended its geographic presence to Russia, South Africa, Australia, Central and South America, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
