August 7 – Governor Punjab promises full support for Chinese investors emphasizing the longstanding relationship between China and Pakistan.
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan stated on Wednesday that the Governor House will provide full support to Chinese investors looking to invest in Punjab.
During his visit to the Chinese Consulate in Lahore, the governor, alongside Chinese Consul General Zhao Shirin, expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and friendship between Pakistan and China.
The governor emphasized the long-standing, unwavering friendship between Pakistan and China, pledging to continue playing a positive role in bolstering this relationship.
Chinese Consul General Zhao Shirin referred to Pakistan and China as iron brothers and presented a cheque of Rs four million to the governor for development work in Attock district, a donation he had announced in a previous meeting with the governor at Governor House Lahore.
As Governor Punjab promises full support for Chinese investors, he also announced that a dispensary would be established in Attock with community support to serve the healthcare needs of the underprivileged in the area, expressing gratitude to the Chinese consul general for this generous gesture.
Later, a delegation led by President of Pakistan Peoples Party Women’s Central Punjab, Samina Khalid Ghurki, met with the governor at Governor House Lahore. The governor acknowledged the crucial role of women in societal development and mentioned his directives for improving female hostels in Punjab’s universities as Chancellor.
