The training covered geology-focused topics, with sessions such as “Secrets of the Earth” and “Spatial and Temporal Distribution, Mineralization Mechanisms, and Prospecting Indicators of Magmatic Copper-Nickel Sulfide Orebodies.” These sessions aimed to deepen Pakistani students’ understanding of Earth’s structure, lithosphere, composition, and plate tectonics. The program also provided critical insights into the spatial and temporal distribution of magmatic copper-nickel sulfides, magma properties, sulfide saturation mechanisms, and essential prospecting indicators for mineral exploration.
Participants benefitted by expanding their professional knowledge base and improving their practical problem-solving skills. They were exposed to current research challenges and obstacles in geological exploration, further strengthening their geological expertise and hands-on capabilities.
Since its inception in 2023, the China-Pakistan Resource and Environmental International College has enrolled 24 Pakistani students. This training represents a significant step in enhancing the partnership between Yunnan Land and Resources Vocational College and the University of Baltistan. By utilizing an international cloud education platform, these programs aim to develop local talent with both theoretical understanding and practical expertise to support international enterprises.
