A freight train from Yiwu, China, arrived in Iran after a 15-day journey, entering through the Incheh Borun border. The cargo is set to be processed at the Aprin customs facility using a designated customs code.
During a welcoming ceremony, Mir-Hassan Mousavi Dizaji, Deputy Head of Iran Railways, highlighted the launch of Aprin customs as a significant move to streamline international trade for Iran.
He also revealed that two additional trains carrying solar panels from China arrived the same day and shared optimism that, with Aprin’s infrastructure and ongoing discussions with Chinese counterparts, Iran could soon receive daily train shipments for import, export, and transit purposes.
Mousavi added that all solar panel imports will now be transported exclusively by rail under the agreement with China, stressing the importance of timely deliveries to help address Iran’s energy challenges and advance its renewable energy plans.
