Chinese FM Wang Yi Meets U.S. business executives in Beijing informing China’s commitment to deepening reforms
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with leading U.S. business executives in Beijing. The delegation, including representatives from Goldman Sachs, Boeing, Micron, and Qualcomm, is on a week-long visit to China to gain insights following the Third Plenum of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
Wang Yi emphasized China’s commitment to deepening reforms and pursuing Chinese-style modernization. He highlighted China’s focus on high-quality development and sharing opportunities to boost the global economy. The reforms aim to overcome development bottlenecks, remove institutional obstacles, stimulate social vitality, and drive modernization. Wang Yi reiterated that China follows its own development path and is ready to engage with other countries based on equality and mutual respect.
China’s policy towards the U.S. remains consistent and stable, based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. Wang Yi stressed the importance of managing differences, expanding dialogue, and strengthening cooperation to ensure stable and sound China-U.S. relations.
Raj Subramaniam, Chair of the U.S.-China Business Council, expressed optimism that the Third Plenum would stimulate economic reforms and attract sustainable foreign investment. He emphasized the importance of fostering a strong and balanced U.S.-China relationship for the benefit of both countries.
The delegation was led by Craig Allen, President of the U.S.-China Business Council, and Raj Subramaniam, CEO of FedEx Corporation. The meeting, lasting about an hour, focused on strengthening China-U.S. business ties amid a changing international landscape.
