Five Indian sponsored terrorists killed in KP IBOs based on credible intelligence as per the ISPR.
Security forces carried out two intelligence-driven operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating five suspected members of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also labeled as Fitna al Khwarij, according to the military’s media outlet, ISPR, on Monday.
As per ISPR’s statement, the operations took place on June 15 and 16 in Peshawar and North Waziristan, based on credible intelligence about terrorist presence allegedly supported by Indian interests.
In the first operation in Peshawar, security personnel encircled the terrorists’ hideout and engaged in a heavy exchange of fire, killing four militants identified as Haris, Baseer, and others.
The second operation occurred in North Waziristan, where security forces killed another terrorist during a short encounter, ISPR added.
The military recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the scene, stating the militants were linked to numerous terror acts in the region.
ISPR further mentioned that clearance operations are ongoing in the nearby areas to remove any remaining threats, reaffirming the armed forces’ resolve to eliminate terrorism in all forms.
No security personnel were injured during either operation.
