Field Marshal Asim Munir declared that all conspiracies against Pakistan, whether from within or outside, will be defeated, while directly calling out India for promoting terrorism in Balochistan through its “proxy networks.”
He made these statements during a joint address with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at a grand jirga in Quetta, attended by tribal elders and families of fallen security personnel.
Asim Munir accused India of backing terrorist networks in Balochistan, stating that its proxy war has shifted from covert actions to overt hostility. He reiterated the military’s firm commitment to defending the province and maintaining peace.
He emphasized that peace in Balochistan is non-negotiable, saying that there will be no compromise. He also asserted that the province is crucial to Pakistan’s future.
Field Marshal reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army is ready to counter all threats and stands united with the people of Balochistan. His remarks come amid rising concern over cross-border terrorism and recent incidents of violence in the volatile region, which have targeted both civilians and security forces.
