Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, paid a visit to the General Staff Headquarters in Tehran, Iran.
During the visit, he met with Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.
The two top military officials discussed the shifting dynamics of regional security, placing particular emphasis on deepening defence cooperation between their respective countries.
Their conversation covered key shared interests, such as boosting inter-military collaboration, enhancing border security measures, and turning the border areas into hubs of trade and economic activity to help promote regional peace and development.
Upon his arrival, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir received a warm reception, which included an official guard of honour by a smartly dressed unit of the Iranian Armed Forces.
